Eastlink is confirming a widespread interruption in service in Newfoundland due to damage to the network.
The company says “a third party” caused damage to its fibre resulting in a widespread outage. Crews are expected to begin repairs soon in hopes of getting service back up and running as soon as possible.
The outage is affecting internet and phone services in a number of areas including the capital city.
