RCMP arrested a man who failed to pull over for police in Carbonear overnight.
The Mounties attempted to stop the vehicle on Pondside Road shortly after midnight, but the driver fled and later jumped out and ran into a nearby home, where he was subsequently arrested.
Police seized a quantity of crystal meth, unidentified pills, and contraband tobacco from the man’s vehicle.
The 48-year-old suspect was released to appear in court on March 26th to answer to charges of flight from police and possession of a controlled substance.
