One of Grand Falls-Windsor’s favourite sons will be immortalized in the form of a statue.
The late Canadian actor was born in the central Newfoundland town, and the provincial arts and culture venue bears his name.
Sculptor Morgan MacDonald has been commissioned by the town to execute the work. It will be a full-scale life-size version of Gordon Pinsent sitting on a bench.
MacDonald is keeping details under wraps until the grand reveal.
