A package containing numerous types of drugs has been seized at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, New Brunswick.
That maximum security prison houses several inmates from Newfoundland and Labrador.
According to Correctional Service Canada, the package of contraband was seized on the perimeter of the facility thanks to “the vigilance of staff members.”
Items seized include shatter, methamphetamine, cocaine, tobacco, ketamine/fentanyl, and ecstasy.
The estimated institutional value of the seizure is over $400,000.
