A well-known Newfoundland and Labrador political commentator and broadcaster is taking on a new national role.
Tim Powers, host of The Tim Powers Show on VOCM, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). Powers is one of two new members selected during the COC’s annual Session Meeting held over the weekend.
The Board helps guide the organization’s efforts to support Canadian athletes and grow the Olympic movement across the country. All Board members serve as volunteers.
Powers joins a group that includes Olympians, business leaders, and sport advocates from across Canada.
