A 32-year-old Campbells Creek man has been charged with dangerous driving following a recent incident in Stephenville.
RCMP were called on Wednesday after a vehicle was seen speeding and passing several vehicles, including a school bus.
Police attempted to pull the suspect vehicle over, but it sped away, and officers decided not to pursue in the interest of public safety.
Bay St. George RCMP, with the help of a police dog, arrested James Marche on Friday and charged him with dangerous driving, flight from police, and breach of a release order. Marche was also ticketed for improper passing.
He was remanded into custody and will return to court on Thursday, May 22nd. Police are asking the public for any possible dash cam or surveillance footage that may assist in their investigation.
