The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department has received $15,000 worth of new communications equipment.
The department was given the equipment by JVC Kenwood Canada as part of their Kenwood Cares program.
Fire Chief Justin Bolt explains that they have received three mobile radios and seven portable radios, plus other associated equipment including charging materials.
Bolt says the new gear brings their complement of radios “up to scratch.”
He says it ensures that they can communicate effectively no matter the situation.
