RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay say a 24-year-old man arrested for impaired driving on the weekend provided breath samples that were more than four times the legal limit.
Police were contacted after a suspected impaired driver left the road, went into the ditch, struck a culvert and continued driving.
RCMP located the suspect vehicle and pulled it over. Police say the driver appeared to be drunk and was arrested. He provided breath samples at the detachment that were more than four times the legal limit.
The driver is facing a charge of impaired driving. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
