President Donald Trump says Israel and Iran have reached a “complete and total ceasefire” that will be phased in over the next 24 hours, bringing an end to nearly two weeks of conflict.
In a statement posted late Monday on Truth Social, Trump said the agreement would mark an “Official end” to what he called “The 12 day war.” The ceasefire announcement comes after a U.S. strike over the weekend targeted three Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump praised both countries, saying they demonstrated “Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence” to reach the deal. Full details of the ceasefire have yet to be made public.
