Seventeen-year-old Seth Hyde has been named as the voice of the QMJHL’s Newfoundland Regiment.
Hyde has been calling games for the Pinnacle Growlers, Avalon Celtics and other leagues throughout the metro region for years.
The St. John’s native will join long-time broadcaster Brian Rogers, who has called games for every professional hockey team that played in St. John’s.
Hyde says calling games in the QMJHL is part of a dream come true.
