The province-wide fire ban that had been in place since last week has been lifted.
The provincial government implemented it at the height of the wildfires that forced the evacuation of Badger last week.
The ban is now lifted, but government is encouraging caution when lighting an outdoor fire.
Residents are reminded that a permit is needed for burning of things like brush during forest fire season.
For backyard fires and campfires, burning should only take place in an appropriate fire pit. As well, people should never leave a fire unattended, and have sufficient tools and water on hand to extinguish the blaze.
