A fundraiser has been launched for a local musician who has a long road ahead of her following a bad accident.
Liz Pickard, also known as Liz Solo, recently had a bad fall that resulted in a broken leg, as well as other ligament and soft tissue damage that has left her unable to walk.
She is staring down a significant amount of time to rehab, so friends and supporters are coming together to help cover expenses.
Collen Power, who is Pickard’s best friend, describes her as a “pioneer female rocker” who has done a lot for the local community, especially young girls who wanted to learn music.
“She’s performed countless benefits for everybody and their dog over the years…so this is a time that we can give back to her in her time of need.”
