A special structure has been installed along the Walk of Hope Trail in Marystown which allows people to feel connected to loved ones they have lost.
It’s called a wind phone. It is placed inside a white, phonebooth-like structure where people can sit and symbolically speak with loved ones who have passed on, letting the wind carry words of love, loss, memory, and hope.
The initiative was spearheaded by councillor Keith Keating, who says it can be good for people’s mental health.
He says it is a way for people to express themselves and get things of their chest.
