Preparations for the highly-anticipated Canada Summer Games are “in the home stretch” with under a month to go until athletes arrive.
Athletes start arriving August 8th, with opening ceremonies taking place on the 9th at Mary Brown’s Centre.
Karen Sheriffs, CEO of the games, says their teams are making the final adjustments in preparation for the start of the festivities.
She proudly speaks of their contingent of volunteers and the work that they are doing.
She says there has been an “overwhelming” response from the community, noting that putting off the games is “no small feat.” She says their team is very active at the moment getting shifts straightened out and gear distributed.
