The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an assault on the Virginia River Trail near Churchill Avenue in St. John’s around 9 a.m. Monday morning.
A woman was injured after being attacked by a man unknown to her. The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old, at least 5’9” tall, wearing a blue and white bike helmet and a brown “Metal Mulisha” T-shirt. He was last seen near The Boulevard.
Police are asking for video or dash cam footage from the area between 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. and have increased patrols in the area.
