A search and rescue operation for a 41-year-old woman who went missing last week is being handed over to the RCMP.
Lieutenant-Commander Len Hickey of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax says the aircraft and ships that had been searching for the woman have returned to base.
Ping Chang was last seen on the Blue Puttees at about 3:30 am Wednesday. She boarded the ferry the night before in North Sydney.
The RCMP are asking anybody who may have interacted with her or saw her on the ferry to contact them at 709-695-2149.
