A wildfire burning near Chance Harbour continues to keep crews busy on the Bonavista Peninsula.
The fire grew over the weekend, now sitting at over 1,600 hectares, and remains out of control.
The Department of Forestry says the blaze does not pose any immediate threat to the communities of Jamestown and Winter Brook, but expect smoke in the area.
Ground crews are unable to access the area, and a fire near Musgrave Harbour has diverted some of the water bombers that may have been deployed in the area.
Parts of Bonavista are forecast to have southwest winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h.
