Spare yourself a little extra time getting to where you’re going this morning as one of the major routes in the capital city is closed for most of the day.
The Team Gushue Highway is closed until 7 p.m. for the Canada Games cycling competition. The closure affects the stretch from Topsail Road in Mount Pearl to Goldstone Street.
Georges Pond Road and Brier Avenue are also blocked off today for the road race.
Some streets around Quidi Vidi Lake are also closed this morning as part of the Canada Games.
