It is a busy couple of weeks for the metro region in general, but what’s known as Crossover Day might just be one of the most intense ever for the airport.
That’s the period when the first wave of Canada Games athletes is leaving and the second wave arrives.
Lisa Bragg, the director of business development at St. John’s International, says summer in general is a busy time at the airport but this year even more so. She urges people to pay close attention to their flights, and to leave a little extra time.
Crossover Day this coming weekend is the day that we will probably see the most passengers ever, according to Bragg.
