The administration of Holy Heart High School in St. John’s had to enact its Secure School protocol this morning after RNC tipped them off to the potential that a prohibited item was brought into the school.
Holy Heart issued an advisory to parents today.
In it, the school says RNC came to the school to assist the administration and conducted an investigation.
The Secure School protocol, which typically involves securing a room or hallway to limit the movement of students, was lifted after about 45 minutes.
RNC say they received a report that someone was in possession of a weapon, however the investigation found no evidence of a weapon at the school.
