The long-time CEO of techNL is wrapping up his tenure this summer and the hunt is on for his replacement.
Florian Villaumé came to techNL in 2022, replacing former CEO Paul Preston.
He was a former member of Engineers Without Borders Canada.
Chair of techNL’s Board of Directors, Johanna Brown says Villaumé contributed to the growth and professionalism of the association and the tech ecosystem has “experienced very real and measurable growth” under his leadership.
The province’s tech sector contributes more than $1.8 billion annually to the provincial economy and has grown by 24 per cent in less than a decade, while in 2025 alone, local tech companies accounted for nearly 80 per cent of all investment deals in Atlantic Canada – raising close to $300 million according to Entrevestor.
