A Lufthansa flight headed to Frankfurt, Germany made an unexpected stop in St. John’s Saturday night. Flight 409, departing from Raleigh-Durham International Airport, landed at YYT around 10:20 p.m. due to a medical emergency on board.
Airport fire crews and external emergency responders were on scene as per standard procedure, assisting with the situation.
Passengers were able to continue their journey once the medical situation was addressed.
