There are over 600 retired teachers working in the Newfoundland and Labrador school system as substitutes.
That’s according to an access to information document obtained by local blogger Matt Barter.
According to the document there are 630 retired teachers in the system – 255 of those are working on the Avalon, 219 are in central, 146 are in western, and 10 teachers are in Labrador.
