The RCMP is hoping the public can help as they search for a driver who fled from police on the weekend.
Holyrood RCMP say an employee at a gas station in the town reported a suspicious vehicle in the station’s parking lot around 12:40 on Sunday afternoon.
The car pulled out of the lot, driving off in a dangerous and erratic manner. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped away.
The suspect vehicle, a blue Chevy Cruze, was found a short time later, abandoned and the driver and his passenger fled on foot.
The passenger was picked up by police, but the driver returned to the car and sped away.
RCMP say the driver is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. The car bore the NL licence plate number JEF946.
Police believe the driver and the car are in the Holyrood or Trinity-Conception area.
