Parts of Labrador are in for some dramatic swings in temperature over the next few hours. The Upper Lake Melville region and Labrador West will plunge into a deep freeze tonight after being on the plus side all day according to David Neil, a meteorologist at the Gander Weather Office.
The swing is in the order of 30 degrees.
“Going from plus 5 to minus 28 overnight is a big change, for sure,” says Neil.
The island will experience a similar swing tomorrow, going from the low double digits today to around minus 10 tomorrow night but with strong winds which will create wind chills in the minus 20 range.
