The RNC has arrested and charged a man following an assault that resulted in injuries to a woman.
Police were called on April 1st following a disturbance at a home in the capital city’s west end.
Investigating officers were made aware of a firearm in the home and seized the weapon.
Thirty-three-year-old Kyle Merritt was arrested and charged with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm as well as other weapons-related charges and breaches.
