A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a recent break, enter and assault in Portugal Cove-St. Philips.
RNC were contacted about a disturbance at a home in the town last Friday night, and found a man with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police believe the incident was not a random event.
Christopher Ring was located and arrested on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, robbery with violence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, break and enter, damage to property and uttering threats.
