The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is seeking the public’s help after a firearm was stolen from a home in the Rabbittown area of St. John’s.
The RNC say someone gained access to the home sometime between 11:00 Wednesday night and 9:00 Thursday morning, and left with a firearm that had been stored in a gun cabinet.
The gun, which is believed to be inoperable, is described as a Winchester 75, 22-caliber single-shot rifle.
Anyone with information, including surveillance footage, from the area of Freshwater Road, Empire Avenue, Mayor Avenue, and Merrymeeting Road around the time is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
