A man who owes the Crown a small fortune in fines was nabbed by police in Burgeo Monday afternoon up to more objectionable activity on the roads.
Several concerned citizens called the RCMP about the 44-year-old being behind the wheel with a suspended license. Sure enough, when police pulled him over, his license had been suspended, and he had no insurance or registration on the vehicle.
In addition, he already had about $20,000 in fines on the books.
He is set to appear in court in Stephenville in July.
