The Premier says he plans to meet with other Atlantic Canadian Premiers to develop a “common approach ” to the question of time changes in the spring and fall.
Several provinces have already halted the twice-yearly time change with more, including Quebec, indicating it plans to look at a similar approach.
Tony Wakeham, who says he wants to be on the same page as other provinces, has already had preliminary talks with our Atlantic Canadian cousins.
“I think all Atlantic provinces want to make sure we’re on the same page. So I think that’s an important piece, and I know that the Canadian Federation of Independent Business has also made a similar recommendation that all Atlantic provinces should probably look to coordinate,” he said.
“It’s fine for one province to make changes, but it does have impacts on businesses.”
