The company, which operates a copper mine on the Baie Verte Peninsula, is hoping to expand the operation.
Firefly Metals Canada is proposing to expand its existing mine near Ming’s Bight to extract copper-rich critical minerals from the site.
The project, which has been registered for environmental assessment, will include underground mining infrastructure, a processing plant, a tailing management facility, roads, transmission lines, storage and accommodations.
The deadline for comment on the Green Bay Ming Mine expansion project is May 27th.
