RCMP in Deer Lake are investigating an incident which involved a laser being pointed at an incoming aircraft.
Pilots of an Air Canada Jazz plane reported a blue laser in front of the aircraft, which temporarily interfered with their vision as they were coming in to land.
The incident was reported to police who determined the laser came from the Deer Lake Municipal RV Park and Campground. RCMP believe a group of young people may have been responsible and are urging parents to speak with their children about the potential dangers of using lasers.
