Strengthening relationships and having the appropriate infrastructure on site are the top priorities for Kelly Smith, the new CEO of the Port of Corner Brook.
Smith, who took over the top job from longtime CEO Jackie Chow a few weeks ago, says she wants to expand on existing partnerships while also preparing the port to support new ones, particularly in the green energy sector.
She says the port plans to meet with companies involved in large-scale hydrogen development projects to see how it can best support their operations. Smith notes that work to improve infrastructure is already ongoing, with a new warehouse recently constructed on site.
