The provincial government is giving a million dollars to a high-tech company based in St. John’s to install what is being categorized as a next-generation holographic display system in the United States.
Founded in 2013, Avalon Holographics employs engineers and scientists, the majority of whom are based in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Industry Minister Steve Crocker says the installation at the Oak Ridge Enhanced Technology and Training Centre will allow U.S. government agencies to incorporate the technology in their procurement and funding decisions.
