Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro says the Paddy’s Pond fire is moving away from their transmission lines.
NL Hydro was given that information by the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre.
That said, smoke and fire suppression activities remain active in the area which could impact those lines.
They note that, as a result of the fire, they did experience a trip on one of their three lines, but there has been no impact to customers as they are being served by the other two lines that remain in service.
