A 27-year-old woman is facing criminal charges after police say they caught her driving nearly 90 km/h over the speed limit in Piccadilly.
Just before 7 p.m. on Saturday the RCMP noticed a vehicle driving erratically along the main road – at speeds 88 km/h above the posted limit.
The driver was pulled over and police say she later blew breath samples more than double the legal limit.
The woman has been charged with impaired and dangerous operation. The accused is set to appear in court at a later date.
Additionally, the woman has been ticketed for having open alcohol in a vehicle and for excessive speeding.
Her licence was suspended and vehicle impounded.
