Marine Atlantic has cancelled its next few crossings of the gulf as a storm rips through the southwest coast.
It began snowing in the Port aux Basques region this morning with some 30cm expected by the time it winds down tomorrow morning. Winds are picking up to 50-60 for most but up to 80 in the Wreckhouse region today and tonight.
The ferries will not make the midnight crossing tonight or the lunchtime sailings tomorrow.
