The interim CEO of NL Health Services says concerns raised by physicians about the new CorCare system were “valid,” and the health authority has made changes based on the feedback received.
A petition was recently being circulated among physicians asking NLHS to hit pause on the rollout of the new system, citing several issues including privacy.
Ron Johnson acknowledges the concerns that have been raised, and says they have been working on addressing them.
He says they had some concerns around the contract itself, and changes have been made based on feedback. Johnson says physicians were also worried about how they would be supported through the transition, and NLHS has created a “solid” support plan to that end.
