The investigation continues into a shooting in Grand Falls-Windsor that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
The victim was airlifted to St. John’s where they remain in serious, but stable condition.
The investigation is in its earliest stages, and RCMP say there will be an increased police presence in Grand Falls-Windsor as it continues, however police advise there is no safety concern for the general public.
Those living on Main Street in Windsor and surrounding area may be approached by officers seeking information including potential witnesses, or video surveillance footage.
Police say to ensure the integrity of the investigation and to protect the privacy of the victim and their family, they are unable to provide any additional details at this time.
