The provincial government has received what it calls “significant industry interest” in the potential construction of a floating dry dock at Bull Arm.
The province says a recent request for expressions of interest resulted in nineteen submissions from companies based in four countries – many of which have offices or operations in this province.
Government claims that demonstrates “broad international interest” in the proposed project.
The RFEI, issued by OilCo, is an early-stage engineering study for the design and construction of the floating dry dock.
Government says the information gathered will be used to define the project’s scope, inform procurement plans, and guide future development.
