That accident on the TCH near Flat Bay Junction on the west coast yesterday resulted in a fatality.
The accident, which involved two vehicles, happened over the lunch hour and resulted in the death of an 80-year-old woman. A second occupant of her vehicle, a 79-year-old man, was rushed to hospital in Corner Brook with serious injuries while the driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
Bay St. George RCMP are investigating the cause.
