The city of Mount Pearl is asking residents to conserve water due to problems at the pumphouse off Farrell Drive.
Residents on a long list of streets north of Topsail Road are being asked to reduce their water consumption as emergency repairs are underway.
The city is asking people not to water lawns, gardens, vehicles, or run decorative fountains or other non-essential water features.
In the meantime, residents can take shorter showers, run their dishwaters or washing machines on full loads, and repair leaking facets or toilets to help avoid wasting water.
