The housing minister says the residents of Horizons 106 will be moved into their new accommodations over the next few months.
Government recently awarded two contracts – one to Stella’s Circle and the other to Bensaid Services – to provide various levels of support to the people who currently reside at the former Comfort Inn.
There are currently 45 people living in the facility on Airport Road, but it is slated to close by the end of December. Now that the contracts are in place, Chris Tibbs says residents will be moved out of there, but it appears as though the move will be gradual.
He says they are confident that the facility will close on time, and that all of the supports will be in place.
