The RNC has arrested and charged a 28-year-old man with sexual assault after a cab driver alerted police to an altercation in his taxi.
RNC were contacted on Monday and the pair involved in the altercation had left the scene before police arrived.
It was determined that a sexual assault had occurred and the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault unit was called in to investigate.
RNC say officers became aware of another sexual assault involving the same suspect that had occurred a week earlier.
The accused, 28-year-old Major Gebrehiwet, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, and one count each of sexual interference, obtaining sexual services from a person under the age of 18, and fraudulently obtaining transportation.
