The House of Assembly is expected to table e-bike and e-scooter legislation – perhaps as early as next week.
That’s according to Government Services Minister Lloyd Parrott, who was asked about the promised legislation by the Opposition’s Keith White.
The question was raised following yet another accident involving a child on an e-scooter – this time in Mount Pearl.
White pointed out that the legislation has not yet been added to government’s order paper.
“We will get this done this sitting,” responded Parrott. “Legislation is coming this sitting, as early as next week; we look forward to the debate.”
