The longtime CEO of Food First NL will be stepping down from the role early in the new year.
Josh Smee first took the reins of the organization back in 2020, mere months before the COVID-19 pandemic would “dramatically” shift the group’s scope.
Food First says Smee oversaw a “transformation” there, which included a new mission and vision, the establishment of a pan-provincial lived and living experience advisory group, and three new social enterprises.
A search for a new CEO is underway. Smee will stay on in the role until the end of January 2027.
