The College of the North Atlantic has completely redesigned its music program to reflect, what it says, are the realities of today’s music industry.
The redesign places digital music creation, music business, and hands-on learning at the heart of the student experience.
Gregory Bruce, an instructor at CNA, says the industry is constantly changing with how music is produced, consumed, and promoted.
He says one of the most significant shifts in the reinvented program is a move toward digital creation.
He adds that the changes modernize how the college trains students to be entrepreneurs by taking into account that they may wish to be an instrumentalist, a composer, singer-songwriter, rapper or producer.
