The Transportation Safety Board will release its report and recommendations on the Titan disaster today, one day before the three-year anniversary of the fatal implosion.
The incident, which occurred during the submersible’s descent to view the wreck of the Titanic, claimed the lives of five people.
A massive international search was launched when communication was lost on June 18, 2023. The wreck of the submersible was eventually located on the ocean floor.
The debris and remains were recovered and returned to St. John’s from where the Titan had been towed out to sea by the Polar Prince only days earlier.
The TSB’s report and six recommendations will be released this morning. VOCM News will have the latest as soon as it becomes available.
