There was a heavy police response to an incident late this morning in Mount Pearl.
It’s believed the incident occurred near Carroll Drive, off Old Placentia Road.
The RNC has not released any information, but the City of Mount Pearl has. It says there was violence, and that it happened on one of the trails.
The city says violence of any kind has no place in the community.
Mount Pearl says it is concerned and that it remains committed to maintaining a safe environment for all residents through ongoing expenditures on lighting and trail upgrades to ensure the network continues to be safe and accessible.
