Three men got home safe and sound last night after becoming stranded when their all-terrain vehicle broke down well off the beaten track.
The operator of a side-by-side called Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP around 7:30 last night, telling them that he and two passengers were in a wooded area near North Harbour, Placentia Bay, a few kilometres from Route 92. They were unharmed but had no way of making it out.
Police called in the Wolverines who used a tracked vehicle to traverse the wet terrain and get to the stranded trio.
RCMP say ground search and rescue organizations across the province help in this regard time and again.
